MonkeyQuestLog Alpha Is Ready

The untested alpha version of MonkeyQuestLog is availiable for download. It includes a new version of MonkeyQuest needed to access MonkeyQuestLog. Also, there's an updated version of MonkeyLibrary. Please note that nothing new was added to MonkeyQuest or MonkeyLibrary so there's no need to download them unless you wish to try out MonkeyQuestLog.

Please remember that this is an alpha version and is by no means complete. In fact there are zero configuration options implemented. This release is meant as a preview and early usability test.

If you want to stop using MonkeyQuestLog simply delete it's folder and MonkeyQuest will open the default Quest Log instead.

You can download MonkeyQuestLog here.

Please report any bugs or issues.

Update On MonkeyQuestLog, New Features

Just a quick update on MonkeyQuestLog. The newest feature is important word highlighting. Important words are usually names and places, highlighting them makes it easy to quickly scan over the quest without having to read it.

In the screenshot you can already see how much better MonkeyQuestLog is compared to the default.

MonkeyQuestLog does not replace the default Quest Log, so you'll still see the default log when accepting and handing in quests. MonkeyQuestLog is meant for a detailed reference when you're out questing.

There's a lot of options and the share/abbandon quest buttons still to add. Expect at the least the same formatting type options as MonkeyQuest.

If you have any suggestions, now's a good time.

Update: the alpha preview version of MonkeyQuestLog is availiable here.

Introducing MonkeyQuestLog!

Here's a little preview of the new MonkeyMod I've been working on. It removes the last thing I hated about questing, the default Blizzard Quest Log. MonkeyQuestLog is a no-frills way to see the entire quest description without the bulky Blizzard Quest Log.

Just like MonkeyQuest doesn't replace the default Quest Tracker (MonkeyQuest actually came out first), MonkeyQuestLog will not replace the default Quest Log. MonkeyQuestLog will only open when you left click on quests in MonkeyQuest. Don't worry, if you don't use MonkeyQuestLog, MonkeyQuest will still open the default Quest Log.

There's still a lot of work to do, mostly adding configuration settings and polish.

It'll be done when it's done :)

Working On A New MonkeyMod

Rather than re-write MonkeyQuest, I've started work on a new addon. I'm very happy with MonkeyQuest and the other MonkeyMods and I fully intend to go back and re-write them. But for now I'll be concentrating on creating a new addon that will fit right in with the rest of my mods.

Besides, what could I possibly add to the current MonkeyMods? :)
